Crowns
Dental crowns are tooth shaped, custom made cap that covers the visible portion of the tooth.
Crowns are needed to restore decayed, broken, weak or worn-down teeth to improve its strength and appearance. Crowns are also used to cover dental implants and root canal-treated teeth.
Crowns are made from a variety of materials such as porcelain, porcelain fused to metal (PFM), zirconia and resin. The material used will be based on the best option for your individual case which will be discussed with you during your consultation.
The procedure involves preparing the tooth to make room for the new crown by removing a small amount of enamel around the tooth. Using the latest digital technology, your mouth is then scanned using a safe, comfortable intraoral camera to map your teeth and bite for the precise fabrication of your new crown made by the lab.
Once the laboratory has made your crown it is bonded and cemented onto your tooth restoring the shape, size, colour and function of your tooth. With regular check up and good oral hygiene crowns are very long lasting.
Crown (Porcelain, E-Max, Zirconia, Metal Bonded) €900
Crown (Composite) €600
