Dental Hygiene – Scale & Polish

Regular cleaning, commonly known as a Scale & Polish, helps to keep your teeth and gums healthy by removing plaque and tartar (calcified plaque) that you are unable to remove with brushing and flossing alone.

Keeping your gums healthy is vital to not only the health of your teeth but your overall health. Gum disease is a bacterial infection that can be hereditary but is typically caused by poor oral hygiene. If left untreated it could develop into periodontal disease which effects the bone and the stability of your teeth.
